Compliance

At Store Above we strive to excel in compliance by abiding by the relevant Australian Standards and the Building Codes of Australia. Our R&D team, as well as our engineering partners have meticulously centred the Store Above mezzanine system around these parameters.

Our stairway design is in line with AS 1657 allowing for the appropriate riser quantity limit, tread depth, riser range, as well as a generous stairway width. The stairway is at an optimal angle for walking comfort as influenced by AS1657.

The parameters around handrails slightly differ between the NCC, AS 1657 and AS 1428. Here at Store Above we have designed a handrail system which ultimately suits all the constraints and occasions as stipulated by these governing documents. The handrail posts are fastened into robust reinforcements beneath the flooring resulting in unwavering stability.

Premium anti-slip tactile indicators are included with every supplied mezzanine system. Safety is paramount and tactile indicators are no exception. Stairway treads are checkered for slip resistance and colours have been carefully selected to exceed luminance contrast standards. Load plates are also recurrently installed along the mezzanine so that users are readily aware of the structure’s capabilities.

Every structural component that is supplied by Store Above is quality checked and assured to comply with and surpass AS 4100 and AS 4600 Australian Standards. Here at Store Above we proudly allocate steel yield strengths in our universal beams, joists, columns and folded steel to exceptional safe working limits.
